This year, the Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating the 35th Annual Youth Hall of Fame Awards, a Chamber initiative with key support from regional businesses, area schools, businesses, and government. The Chamber’s Youth Hall of Fame Program provides an important annual opportunity to recognize outstanding high school students who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, personal growth and development through their outstanding achievements and contributions to the community and their peers.
The Youth Hall of Fame is featured as a year-long display at the Greece Regional Chamber’s kiosk at The Mall at Greece Ridge to honor not only last year’s outstanding students but also those from the past 33 years along with acknowledging our most recent sponsors. The 2025 recipients will be honored at the Youth Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony held this spring, by invitation only.

What are the criteria?
The Youth Hall of Fame recognizes 11th and 12th grade high school students who attend any area public, private, parochial or charter school and demonstrate one or more of these qualities:
-an exceptional volunteer -or-

-an outstanding employee -or-

-one who has given service to the community or other peers -or-

-one who has coped with a life challenge - physical, social, or mental (Parental/Guardian permission required) -or-

-one who has overcome a personal tragedy (parental/guardian permission required)

How are they selected?
A committee comprised of representatives from the Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce, including regional businesses and area school representatives, will review nominations and make selections based on the award criteria.

Who may nominate candidates?
We depend almost entirely on nominations from high school teachers, counselors and administrators, area businesses and residents, community youth agencies, and service organizations. It is your observation and initiative that result in individual induction into the Hall of Fame. Being nominated to receive this award carries great meaning to the nominees and their families. Application forms are available for anyone who may want to make nominations. The awards committee will be screening all documents and must ask your cooperation in sending completed applications on or before Friday, March 14, 2025.
