I began my legal career in the Monroe County Public Defender's Office\, where I changed the lives of thousands of clients across every race\, gender\, creed\, and identity.  I then spent years with the Hiscock Legal Aid Society\, protecting civil liberties and helping individuals who were convicted of crimes turn their lives around.  Ever since\, I have been a Monroe County Assistant District Attorney.  Prior to my current position in the Appeals Bureau\, I specialized in the prosecution of the illegal firearm\, narcotics\, and gang crimes.  Last November\, I was elected to the Riga Town Board\, where my efforts have resulted in increased public services despite record revenue shortfalls and the lowest COVID-19 rate in Monroe County.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeredith Vacca\n\n\n\nMeredith Vacca Bio\n\nI am a life-long Rochester area resident. I grew up in the Town of Greece and currently live in the City of Rochester with my husband and our two year old daughter. I am a graduate of Nazareth Academy\, Colgate University and University at Buffalo Law School. I have been an attorney for almost 15 years and a Monroe County Assistant District Attorney for 13 years.
