DESCRIPTION:2022 Youth Hall of Fame\n\nCall for Nominations \n\nDeadline to Submit: Friday\, April 1\, 2022\, 4:00 pm\n\n\n\nThis year\, the Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce will be celebrating the 32nd Annual Youth Hall of Fame Awards. The program is an initiative of the Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce with key support from regional businesses and area schools. Induction into the Youth Hall of Fame is an annual award that honors outstanding 11th and 12th grade students. This Program provides an opportunity to recognize young people who have demonstrated exceptional personal growth and development through their outstanding achievements and contributions to the community. Being nominated to receive this award carries great meaning to the nominees and their families. \n\n\n\n\n\n What are the criteria?\n\nTo be eligible\, candidates should be in 11th or 12th grade and can attend any area public\, private\, parochial or charter school.\n\nOne or more of the following qualities are desirable in Hall of Fame candidates: \n\n-an exceptional volunteer -or-\n\n-an outstanding employee -or-\n\n-one who has given service to the community or other peers -or-\n\n-one who has coped with a life challenge - physical\, social\, or mental (Parental/Guardian permission required) -or-\n\n-one who has overcome a personal tragedy (parental/guardian permission required) \n\n\n\n\n\nHow are they selected?\n\nA committee comprised of representatives from the Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce\, including regional businesses and area school representatives\, will review nominations and make selections based on the award criteria.\n\n \n\n\n\nWho may nominate candidates?\n\nWe depend almost entirely on nominations from high school teachers\, counselors and administrators\, area businesses and residents\, community youth agencies\, and service organizations.  It is your observation and initiative that result in individual induction into the Hall of Fame. Being nominated to receive this award carries great meaning to the nominees and their families.  Application forms are available for anyone who may want to make nominations.
