2011 Small Business of the Year Finalists Announced

Greece, NY – The Greece Chamber of Commerce today announced three local businesses have been selected as finalists in their third Small Business of the Year Award. In addition three businesses have also been selected as finalists for the first Microenterprise of the Year Award. The awards will be handed out at a special luncheon on November 4thand is being sponsored by Genesee Regional Bank and the Democrat & Chronicle.
The finalists for the prestigious Small Business of the Year award include: Nacca & Capizzi Certified Public Accountants, LLP, Ridgeway Sunoco and Solutions Studio and Spa. This
Finalists for the Microenterprise award include: Caring for Cats Veterinary Hospital, Sanger Family Dental and The Victors Gymnastics & Cheerleading. The Microenterprise of the Year is a new award which honors businesses with $2 million or less in annual revenue and 10 or less full-time equivalent employees.
“We were absolutely thrilled with the quality of businesses that went through the nomination process,” said Jodie A. Perry, President & CEO of the Greece Chamber. “Each of our finalists is an example of what a successful small business should strive for, whether it is in the way they treat their employees or the service they provide to their customers.”
The finalists were chosen from a group of semi-finalists including: AP Plumbing, ARIKATA Martial Arts, Bernard’s Grove Restaurant, Brook House Restaurant, Christie Carpets, Cornerstone Dental, Deborah Whitt Agency, Fast-Fix Jewelry & Watch Repair, Maximillian M. Chung DMD, and Stone Ridge Veterinary Hospital.
The award luncheon will be held on Friday, November 4thfrom 11:45am – 1:30pm at Rochester Marriott Airport Hotel. Tickets may be purchased for $30, but reservations are required.
